Today, I want to talk to you about something deeply important, something that stands at the heart of who we are as individuals and as a nation:
the idea of freedom and the power of the individual. Throughout history, we’ve seen the struggle between the
individual and the collective, between those who seek to build and create, and those who seek to take and control.
And today, in the world of technology and innovation, we see that same struggle playing out.
There’s a growing chorus out there claiming We are all Satoshi.
They say Bitcoin belongs to everyone, that it’s a gift to the masses, something that no one can own.
But let me tell you, Satoshi never said that. Not once did Satoshi declare, This is yours.
Satoshi never said, I give this to you as a gift.
No, those who are claiming this now are not honoring Bitcoin’s principles—they’re twisting them. And when they say, This is ours, when they push this idea of collective ownership, they’re not receiving something given to them.
They’re taking it.
And that’s theft.
It’s the very antithesis of everything Bitcoin stands for.
Bitcoin wasn’t created for the masses to rise up as a mob and seize power.
It was created as a tool of freedom, for the individual, by the individual.
It’s about responsibility, accountability, and ownership. It’s about the right to create, to build, and to own what you’ve worked for. And those who are now trying to hijack that idea, who claim that Bitcoin belongs to all, are doing so for one reason: power.
They want control over you, over me, and over the very essence of what it means to be free.
This is the same struggle we’ve faced before. Whether it’s in economics, politics, or now technology, there are always those who will try to crush the individual under the weight of the collective.
They will tell you it’s for your own good, that it’s about fairness, that it’s about equality. But what they’re really after is power—power that comes from controlling the masses, from silencing the voice of the individual.
But freedom doesn’t come from the mob.
Freedom comes from the individual.
It comes from the ability to create, to innovate, and to own what’s yours.
That’s what Bitcoin was meant to represent.
It was never about giving up control to some collective. It was about empowering each and every one of us to take control of our own lives, our own futures, and our own property.
Let’s be clear: when people claim that Bitcoin is a gift to the masses, they are not freeing you—they are binding you.
They are seeking to take away the very principles of ownership and responsibility that make Bitcoin, and indeed freedom itself, what it is.
And we must not let them succeed. We must stand for the individual. We must stand for freedom.
Satoshi created something revolutionary—not because it was meant to be owned by everyone, but because it was meant to empower the individual.
And as we move forward, we need to remember that freedom and individuality go hand in hand. You cannot have one without the other.
Those who seek to take from you, to claim what is yours, are not working for your freedom. They’re working for control.
So, my fellow citizens, let’s reject the calls for collectivism, for this false idea that We are all Satoshi.
Let’s stand firm in the belief that true freedom comes from the individual—responsible, accountable, and proud.
Let’s protect the right to create, to build, to own, and to be free.
I have been completing an MFA in creative writing to improve my style.
