🏗️STANDARD PRACTICES FOR R.C.C. DETAILS

🚥Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) detailing plays a critical role in achieving safe, durable, and structurally efficient buildings.

🌟Key standard practices shown in the infographic include:

🔹 1. Longitudinal Bars
• Minimum 4 bars for rectangular columns.
• Minimum 6 bars for circular columns.

🔹 2. Spacing of Ties
Maximum tie spacing should be the least of:
• 16 × longitudinal bar diameter
• 300 mm
• Least lateral dimension of the column

🔹 3. Lap Length in Compression
• Development length (Ld) should be considered.
• Lap length should generally not be less than 24d.
• 50d is commonly adopted where specified by design.

🔹 4. Clear Cover
• Minimum 40 mm or the bar diameter, whichever is greater, as indicated in the reference.

🔹 5. Hooks in Ties
• 135° hooks
• 10d extension
• Important for ductile/seismic detailing.

📌 Site Note: Provide closer tie spacing near beam-column joints and footing regions, and always follow the approved structural drawings and applicable IS code requirements.

⚠️ Important: Actual reinforcement detailing must be based on structural design, project specifications, exposure conditions, and the latest applicable codes—not solely on general rules of thumb.
