Thank you!! Thought this for a long time!! It’s Daylight Robbery!! It’s my biggest expense as a lay person and householder!! And is being spent on Criminal activity and For-profit hair brained ideas that benefit no one in society!!
All well and good but has anyone actually done this and not been prosecuted? Otherwise it’s all just hot air and no substance.

Can we simply ignore a council rate notice when we receive it in the post? The council always threatens you with sending a debt collector if you don't pay or starting legally proceedings against you. I pay about 1200 AUD in council rates each year which is total ripoff for them simply disposing of my wastewater and household waste.
There are a lot of people that have done it but it doesn’t come without consequences
