Dear Small Blockers,

Bitcoin is a database of timestamped transactions. Many of your listening "nodes" store that database and occasionally broadcast to it.

Real full nodes write to that database.

"Coins" don’t physically exist, but they’re a chain of signatures reconstructed from node data, and their existence is attested to by hashes.

Wallets index spendable outputs (UTXOs) from your keys in your wallet's database.

If there’s no database(s), there’s no Bitcoin.

Bitcoin's database is also a very obvious store of arbitrary data in a few different ways that Satoshi very deliberately and purposely added to the system such that people can broadcast valid, paid chunks of data to be written to that database impermanently or permanently depending on how it's transacted.

You can argue about lots of little details, but these are the facts.
