I went to quite a number of people in the past and discussed bitcoin. This is right back to
2007 before I launched.
I tried to explain how little investment would be needed when I was at BDO and how much this would help the firm globally. Any person who really gave me the time of day was
Alan Granger. There were people who worked for me at
BDO, but they had a different focus anyway. Some of my friends.
Have been good friends with
David Bridges for years. However, I haven’t spoken to him until recently. With everything that happened after I left
Australia entire debacle followed me, and I shut myself off. I shouldn’t have, friends are necessary, but I am not good at handling and talking to people.
He was a good friend; we were very close, but like
Stefan Matthews, I found him exasperating. I’m not insulting.
The problem is mine, not his.
In both cases, both
Stefan and David were people I tried to sell my ideas to. I know there were too early. I know rationally that most ideas fail, and people don’t want to implement them until they know they will succeed. However, it still doesn’t change the fact that it hurts when people tell you your ideas are crazy and don’t see how they will work. I know for each of them, it was the rational choice not to implement bitcoin in 2008/9/10. But, it still doesn’t stop feeling as if people don’t trust your ideas… I logically understand. But, not many of my ideas are ever accepted within five years of me coming up with them.
95% of them are eventually accepted.
It's an interesting discrepancy that I don't know how to address. I keep building anyway. Micro payments are the future. Elliott stated that it is more important to train and educate a few people very well, far more important than educating the masses poorly. I agree with this sentiment although few today do.
