One of the defining features of the program is its interdisciplinary approach to understanding African cities. Recent graduate Isaac Luwaga MUGUMBULE, PMP, Head of the Landscaping Unit at Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) in Kampala, Uganda, experienced this firsthand.
Before joining the program, Isaac expected a focus on urban planning. What he found instead was a broader curriculum covering urban economics, urban finance, and urban governance, which shaped how he thinks about cities and how different disciplines come together in practice.
Throughout the program, this was reinforced through cross-disciplinary learning, engagement with professionals from across the continent, and new ways of thinking about cities.
