defect in carrier ⬇️ K reabsorption in luminal border which diffuses back to create +ve gradient to help absorption of Ca& mg --» hypercalciurea
hyponatremia---» ⬆️ Aldosterone--» ⬆️ action of Na/K antiporter of P cells---» hypokalemia--» ⬆️ action of K/H antiporter on I cells---» ⬆️ secretion of H---» metabolic Alkalosis
all of these ions lost---» ⬆️ osmolarity of urine----» osmotic diuresis ---» volume depletion
