"Forgotten Artifact"Imagine coming across an ancient, unfamiliar artifact while cleaning your attic. Write a short story about the strange object and the journey it takes you on.How you can write?
In the dusty solitude of my old attic, hidden under a pile of jumbled heirlooms, I stumbled upon a small, polished box with engravings unfamiliar to my eyes. On unsheathing it, I discovered a perplexing artifact, a golden compass glistening in the shafts of light penetrating the attic windows. Unlike the navigational tools I knew, this compass had additional cardinal points, each etched with runic symbols that spoke of ancient languages.
Intrigued, I found myself engrossed in research on this artifact which seemed to belong to an age and civilization long forgotten. One by one, I deciphered the runic symbols on the compass, and with each translation, I was induced into a mystical journey through forgotten epochs and lands.
In the dimly lit comfort of my attic, my mind roamed through terrain unknown and witnessed cultures, traditions, and rituals of primordial times. Elephant chariots, azure pyramids, floating palaces, and unseen stars in alien skies—I traveled through époques in time, yet not in space. Suddenly my humble attic was no longer just a storage space; it became my command central from where I explored fascinating civilizations I never knew existed.

While cleaning my attic, I noticed a small, brass box buried under old blankets. Something about it felt… different. I opened it and discovered a golden compass, unlike anything I’d ever seen. Its directions were more than north, south, east, and west—they were marked with strange symbols that seemed almost alive.
Curiosity took over. The more I studied the symbols, the more the attic faded around me. Suddenly, I was walking down streets lined with glowing lanterns, watching elephant-drawn chariots pass crystal towers, under skies painted in colors I had never known.
Each symbol was a key, pulling me further into ancient, forgotten worlds. Though my hands still held the compass, my mind traveled through civilizations lost to time. That dusty attic had become a gateway—and I was its first traveler.
