yup. peace has that effect on gold. but the thing is that big Muslim extremist groups (like Hezbollah in lebannon or Islamic Republic in Iran) aren't happy with this plan so they might respond with attacks on Israel or American military bases. (so the dropping effect probably won't be that smooth and can be interrupted by geopolitical events)
