Do you know about translucent concrete?
Transparent concrete is different from the concrete we know as a type of concrete because it lets light through.
This type of concrete uses a different type of aggregate (Aggregate~gravel+add mixtures) than the normal type of concrete, that is, it uses translucent types of aggregate.
In this type of concrete, what is used as the main aggregate input is fiber optics and glass fiber.
Translucent concrete is made by mixing 4-5% (by volume) of fiber optics with fine concrete (fine concrete is a mixture of very fine sand and cement).
The type of input we use
Cement - Ordinary Portland cement is preferred
Sand - 1.18mm seive should be smaller in size and better in quality
Water- The water we use for drinking is preferred because turbid water reduces the ability to transmit light
Optical fiber- the content should be 4-5% by volume and the thickness can be from 2 µm to 2 mm depending on the light transmission method.
