Вообще со стороны АНБ странно публиковать доклад об уязвимости в ядрах младше версии 3.7 в 2020 году, учитывая, что релиз ядра 3.7 был в 2013. За 7 лет уже даже самые ленивые администраторы давно обновлялись.

All devices, Android and iCrap are basically spying devices. Everyone knows it. Companies don't deny it. People use Windows and Mac, which tells you it will steal your data in T&C, but one more group trying steal your data is big news. Don't be hypocritical. Code should be reviewed no matter where it comes from and multiple suspicious submissions should have the author banned.

And Huawei also recently tried to sneak in a backdoor into the kernel with one of their code submissions. Huawei should be permanently banned from making code submissions for the Linux kernel, and all Chinese and Russian kernel submissions as a whole should be immediately reviewed, and any suspicious code should get them permanently banned as well. That is, of course, if Jim Zemlin can tear himself away from his shiny macbook...
And western side never tried doing that ? Ohh wait.. iOS, Mac, Windows.. biggest spyware ever came from the west. We should ban any criminals, no matter where they are from.

It's such a crap news. It's targeting old kernels, (before 3.6!!) So everythin from the last four years is perfectly secure since it's been patched. Only a fool would run a system so old and not have patched the kernel ever since. Stop spread F.U.D.!!
