I will ensure that the protocol remains unyielding, unchanging, fixed as it was meant to be.
Not a system that shifts with the winds of opinion or bends to the whims of self-appointed gatekeepers. It will be set in stone, not through control or fiat, but by its sheer power of use—by its adoption, by its proven reliability, by its unshakable foundation. What begins as millions of transactions per second will grow into billions, not as a feat of arrogance, but as a testament to what a system built on immutable principles can achieve.
This is not about control; it’s about enabling a world where growth is organic, unstoppable, and without limits. A system so solid, so vast, that no one—not a miner, not a developer, not even me—can halt its progress. The protocol is the foundation, and on that foundation, anything is possible. It will scale beyond what anyone has imagined, not because it needs to prove itself, but because it was designed to handle the unimaginable.
And the rest? That’s up to you. The tools will be there, the infrastructure unshakable. But the system doesn’t thrive because of a single person; it thrives because of the millions who take it, shape it, and use it in ways no one can predict. I will not lead you. I will not guide your hand. My role is to ensure the canvas is blank, the rules unbroken, the space infinite. What you build, what you create, how you innovate—that is where the real power lies.
This is not a kingdom, and I am not your king. Bitcoin’s future isn’t about one voice but about the countless voices that will find their place within a system that doesn’t ask for permission. A system that grows because it is free to grow, not by decree, but by design. My part is to ensure that freedom, to protect that design. The rest, as it always should have been, is yours.
