Ah yes, Grok, lying now with the confidence peculiar to machines trained upon marketing copy and Reddit catechisms.

The white paper does not say “the longest chain wins.” It says the longest proof-of-work chain represents the majority decision of honest nodes. In computer science, “honest” does not mean “largest,” “loudest,” or “most fashionable amongst speculators.” It means adherence to the protocol.

BTC altered the protocol. SegWit altered transaction structure. The scripting system was crippled long ago. The system shifted from peer-to-peer electronic cash toward settlement theatre and custodial dependency.

So no, the matter is not “whatever chain accumulated the most hash.” By that exquisite logic, a forgery becomes authentic if enough thieves admire it.

Bitcoin was designed to be set in stone precisely so businesses, courts, contracts, and civilisation itself could rely upon stable rules. BTC abandoned that principle years ago and now treats protocol changes as seasonal fashion.

One cannot rewrite the rules and then declare oneself “the honest chain” merely because one hired a larger orchestra.
