👉Types of Flexible Road Pavement

🚧These refer to the overall pavement structure or layers used in road construction (subgrade, base, binder, and surface layers).

💫1. Conventional Flexible Pavement:

⏺A pavement made of several layers (subgrade, sub-base, base, and asphalt surface) that distributes traffic load gradually to the soil.

💫2. Full-Depth Asphalt Pavement:

⏺A pavement where all structural layers above the subgrade are made entirely of asphalt.

💫3. Contained Rock Asphalt Mat (CRAM):

⏺A type of pavement where asphalt mix is placed within crushed rock to improve strength and load distribution.

💫4. Bituminous Surface Treatment:

⏺A thin layer of bitumen and aggregates applied on the surface, mainly used for low-traffic roads or maintenance.
