A close friend of mine — a Swedish national — was just denied re-entry into Thailand after a short visit to Phnom Penh. Not only was he refused entry, but he was subjected to a long interrogation and treated with zero respect.
He is kept detained at the airport over night and allowed to fly back to Cambodia tomorrow Friday.
It’s heartbreaking to hear about the way people are being spoken to and treated at the border lately.
The way Thai Immigration are treating different nationalities at the border is honestly a disgrace. Total madness.
