گیتی پورفاضل حقوقدان و از امضاکنندگان بیانیه ۱۴ کنشگر زن از سی‌ام مردادماه سال جاری در بازداشت به سر می‌برد. این فعال مدنی بیستم مهرماه در بیدادگاه جمهوری اسلامی محاکمه شد. بازداشت و محاکمه او و سایر امضاکنندگان بیانیه ۱۴ و حامیان آن‌ها مصداق بارز سرکوب آزادی بیان است.
In an open letter to the Islamic Republic's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, fourteen women's rights activists have called upon him to step down and pave the way for a transition towards a new political system for Iran. Giti Pourfazel, an attorney, who is one of the signatories in Iran arrested since 11th August. Her arrest is a clear example of violation of free speech.
