Nyamira Governor Amos Nyaribo has once again escaped removal from office after the Senate dismissed an impeachment attempt against him for the third time.

Senate Speaker Amason Kingi determined that the process was flawed, noting that the County Assembly did not meet the legal threshold required to proceed. Although 23 out of 35 MCAs backed the motion, the law requires at least 24 votes for impeachment, rendering the effort unsuccessful.
