Cachar, Assam: On March 15th, during Ramadan, five Rohingya Islamists, Jamir Uddin Barbhuiya, Samsul Haque Laskar, Abul Hussain Laskar, and Masuk Uddin Barbhuiya, abducted a married Hindu woman while she was on her morning walk and gang-raped her.
The prime accused, Jamir Uddin Barbhuiya, planned the abduction and gang-rape and had even arranged a weapon for the act.
They were arrested after a fierce encounter with the Assam Police on March 19th.
An Islamist woman, Jakira Begum Barbhuiya's name has also emerged for conspiring in the rape and abduction.
