Reminder: Depositing ETH into the ETH2 deposit contract is effectively a burn of the funds in exchange for ETH on ETH2. ETH on ETH2 will become the only ETH in phase 1.5 when ETH1.x and ETH2 merge. Call this process a burn, transfer, or something else, but that's how it works.

"More ETH on ETH2" depends on your level of validator participation. Yes, you are rewarded for being a part of ETH2 (and rewards are higher for early adopters), but it's not free money so I didn't want to communicate that.
