It’s bloody absurd, this idea that we’re supposed to kneel at the altar of “living with nature,” as if our role on this earth is to bow down to it. The climate’s always changed, hasn’t it? There were bloody glaciers carving valleys long before a factory puffed its first bit of smoke. The 1960s were colder, the decades before warmer, and back before that, there was the Little Ice Age. These aren’t anomalies. They’re cycles—nature’s own rhythms, indifferent to whether we’re here or not.

And yet, the narrative we’re fed demands we shoulder the guilt of every warming trend, every shifting tide, as though the planet’s fate hinges entirely on us. It’s a bloody conceit, that kind of arrogance, thinking we’re the sole drivers of something as vast and ancient as the climate. Sure, we have an impact, but the earth has been reshaping itself for eons, with or without our help.

The answer isn’t to shiver in huts or dream of some mythical harmony with nature. That’s not progress; that’s surrender. What we need is technology—relentless, unapologetic innovation. It’s the only tool that’s ever lifted humanity above the whims of the natural world. Mastering the earth doesn’t mean stripping it bare or poisoning it; it means harnessing its power wisely, bending it to our will, and leaving it better than we found it.

Good stewards, not passive tenants. The biblical notion of dominion isn’t about destruction; it’s about responsibility. It’s about building a world where the cycles of nature don’t dictate our survival. A world where we thrive in spite of storms and droughts, not because we’ve kowtowed to the bloody winds and waves, but because we’ve risen above them.

That’s not living with nature; that’s living as we were meant to—masters of our destiny.
