Germany's "Green" Foreign Minister, Annalena Baerbock, recently suffered what must be one of the most ironic series of events during her latest trip to Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji.
I put "Green" in brackets because she was set to travel to said countries to show how Germany is connected by "common values and a common view of the world"
Pretty sure that could have been done via Zoom or one of those cringeworthy press conferences... in Germany...
Anyway, it turned out our "Green" friend's trip wasn't meant to be as the flaps of the Govt plane Baerbrock used jammed twice, causing the pilots to dump some 200,000 litres of fuel into the atmosphere in order to make sure the plane was fit to land...
She later conceded defeat and returned to Hamburg via a commercial flight.
