Albania's new ambassador to the UK illegally sneaked into Britain on the back of a lorry and lied about fleeing from the Kosovo war.
It is understood Suella Braverman's Home Office raised concerns about Mr Ferizi's appointment when he was nominated – but was overruled by the Foreign Office.
