"Fragments from the Future"
Imagine you've discovered a book from hundreds of years in the future. In two stanzas, write a short poem that depicts an artifact or development described in this book.
How you can write?
Beneath trees of crystal, we learned to breathe anew,
In mirrors of time, our ancestors’ faces grew.
Echoes of laughter in digital beacons dwell;
In the echo chamber of tomorrow, history will tell.

A book that hummed where paper once abode
Its margins breathed with voices yet unborn,
Recording wars unmade, and grief outgrown.
An hourglass reversed its falling sand,
Teaching time to rest in human hands.
In footnotes, love survived what steel could not
A future written softly, not forgot.
