When you add translations to YouTube you are generally best choosing the base language.

This means you are not restricting the translation to a geography. So here for example anyone who had their YouTube language setting set to German would see German. Not just people in Germany.

Add additional variants of a language, where differences occour like "Austrian German" after adding the base language if required.
