I think Craig was claiming the LaTex source file could be watermarked using Snow, not the generated/compiled bitcoin whitepaper pdf. Thus it’s futile to try to extract watermark from the pdf, including from its whitespace-preserving text version. The watermark, if present, can only be found in the original LaTex file.
