Thomas Piketty 的著作 Capital et Idéologie 《资本与意识形态》，在引入中国的过程中收到审查删节的要求，但 Piketty 拒绝删除其中对中国的后共产主义社会贫富落差批评的部分。

中信出版社在六月和八月发出从法文版和英文版中删节翻译的要求，被拒绝之后，在回复《南华早报》时表示版权谈判仍在进行中。或许最终此书也会像斯诺登的《永久记录》一样，由「普通中文读者和翻译员」帮助翻译并共享。这种方式也许是未来各类著作不被删节地进入简体中文世界的出路。
