What are the highest and deepest point in the world?

Highest point Mount Everest (at approximately 8,850 meters) and Lowest point Mariana Trench ( at 11,034 meters deep below ocean).  If you placed Mount Everest at the bottom of the Mariana Trench, the peak would still be 2,133 meters below sea level.
