I guess either today in our universities they have not a good quality
That's why Uzbekistan just adopted new law, that all governmental universities will control the tuition fees by themselves. Means they can increase and decrease the amount of tuition fees.
From now universities also know how to make money!
On easy way, 🤦‍♂️😒🙄
Well, when it comes to parents, they'd prefer their kids to go to private schools because of safety and high level of education, especially in US.
Private schools and universities are the best concurrents for state schools and universities!
But we are not a state 😅
In my view, both private and state schools and universities should exist at the same time.

Let's analyze pros and cons of both of them.

1. Private schools
Pros
• high quality education
• well-paid job after graduation
• relationship with people with high status in society
• abundant resources, like books, labs,
• internships at global companies
Cons
• high tuition fee
• ...
• ...
I don't know :)

2. Public (state) schools
Pros
• high quality education (in developed countries: Germany, Norway(not developed but rich), Finland, South Korea (not developed officially, but rich), Japan, China(World Manufacturer)) but not high quality education in most parts of the world, especially underdeveloped countries :( (for example African countries, Central Asia: Uzbekistan, Tajikistan...).
• well-paid job after graduation ( depending on location of University as mentioned above), but usually they get paid much less than private universities.
• relationship with people with middle income background in society, who makes up largest part of the society :)
Cons
• mostly have less quality education than private ( depending on location of course)
• lack of resources like books, labs, highly skilled professors, hi-tech technologies ( depending on location of course)

So,we have considered all advantages and disadvantages of both of them. And I believe it is high time for us to identify whether we should close private schools or not!

First of all, we should we should not think emotionally but intellectually. What do I mean by this is that in the place of dragging people behind who has the ability to get high quality education, we should just let them do what they can. Rich kids study at private universities, be the best in their field, make a contribution to the development of humanity (ok I know:) not always:( some of them are spoiled kids) In the end the ones who benefit will be HUMANS=US! We have seen the consequences of social equality implemented forcefully by the government, like closing all private secter. In the end if we close the private sector we will lose more than we gain (USSR, Eastern European Countries, Cuba and others)

Secondly, the people owning private universities are not STUPID, they know what to do, when to do, how to do, for this reason they are at the top of the society ( because of their brilliancy , not because of luck, or some kind of othet shortcuts in the end the only thing that keeps you at the top is your intelligence not other things (yeah again I know:) in some developing countries the officials are NOT suitable:( for their positions). What do I mean by this is that they understand basic business principle that if you want to operate in the long run your services and products MUST be of the high quality!

All things considered, I believe that they don't prioritize profit over education. They just get paid and charge more than state for their HIGH quality services.
