The BBC has come under fire after it emerged that it has already spent nearly £50,000 restoring a controversial statue by paedophile sculptor Eric Gill, which campaigners say should instead be taken down.
Jesus, this again, the BBC are right to restore the Gill statue which represents Ariel and Prospero from Shakespeare's The Tempest, which was thought 90 years ago to be a suitable representation of radio waves used by the BBC. Gill appears to have indulged in deviant behaviour, but it's important to note that his daughter did not see herself as a victim, indeed to do so would be to a reduction of her worth, she was an artist in her own right, a wife and mother, she lived to a ripe old age. Above all works of art have to stand on their own merit regardless of the habits of the maker, start destroying art or literature because their is an aspect of the artists life you don't like or approve of is a slippery slope.
