Dr. Noubar Afeyan, Co-Founder and Board Chairman of Moderna, Founder and CEO of Flagship Pioneering was awarded the prestigious National Medal of Technology and Innovation by Dr. Arati Prabhakar, Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), in a ceremony held at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building on January 3, 2025.
This award recognizes Moderna’s groundbreaking contributions to biotechnology, specifically the development of mRNA-based Covid-19 vaccines that a critical role in combating the global Covid-19 pandemic.
Dr. Afeyan is a visionary who co-founded FAST, Aurora and other initiatives to support Armenia’s scientific, cultural, and humanitarian development.
