The US-dollar stablecoin MNEE is now available for use on the BSV Blockchain, offering users the ability to make stablecoin payments instantly and more economically than on any other network.
This week, MNEE officially launched on 1Sat Ordinals, the implementation of Ordinals running on the BSV Blockchain. 1Sat Ordinals gives each individual satoshi (aka ‘sat’ or 1/100,000,000th of a Bitcoin) a serial number, creating a unique digital token.
MNEE uses the BSV-21 extension of Ordinals, which allows for corporate issuance of regulated fungible tokens. The base protocol is for non-fungible token (NFT) inscriptions, but the extension allows for fungible assets.
Ordinals became a boogeyman on bandwidth-constrained networks like BTC, because the images, videos and other data-intensive files attached to individual sats proved too cumbersome for a network that can barely handle regular transactions without clogging its narrow pipes.
BSV places no limit on the size of its individual blocks, allowing all relevant 1Sat Ordinals token data to be sent in a single transaction. And while the original Ordinals required a minimum output of 546 sats, the far more efficient 1Sat Ordinals requires only a single sat.
MNEE made its debut last spring on Ethereum, another network plagued by bandwidth constraints. Worse, Ethereum charges a ‘gas’ fee—payable in ETH, so if you don’t have any you have to buy some—to process transactions on its network.
MNEE on BSV is ‘gasless,’ meaning no extra fee is required simply to process a 1Sat Ordinals transaction. And with BSV’s network fees routinely clocking in at under 1/10th of a cent, transacting with MNEE on BSV is by far the most cost-effective stablecoin option available today.
(Before anyone suggests otherwise, while I have invested in many projects within the BSV ecosystem, I am not an investor in MNEE, nor was I involved in its creation. I’m just a fan of cool products and MNEE on BSV is cool AF.)
Fully collateralized 1:1 with U.S. T-bills and cash equivalents, MNEE on BSV is also faster (zero confirmations) than stablecoin transactions on other networks, which require users to wait in line and hope their transaction makes it into the next block and/or pay additional fees to speed up this process.
1Sat Ordinals can also work with sCrypt smart contracts, opening up additional possibilities for financial innovation. And MNEE complies with regulatory agencies seeking to freeze tokens involved in illicit activities, honouring BSV’s ongoing commitment to regulatory compliance.

Currently available via RockWallet (with other BSV-compatible wallets like HandCash and Yours Wallet in the pipeline), MNEE on BSV is the faster and cheaper alternative to stablecoins on other networks. MNEE on BSV will enable cost-effective micropayments that will lead to new economic models for online commerce.
MNEE on BSV’s economic advantages also make it the perfect product for use in developing countries, where stablecoins are playing an increasing role in everyday commerce, as well as for cross-border remittances.
With costs this low, micropayments can combine with remittances to create micro-remittances—cross-border transfers of tiny amounts of cash that total less than the fees charged for remitting funds via traditional channels.
For instance, a hardworking mother in a foreign country can send just enough money home on a weekly basis to ensure her kids get enough to eat but not enough so her bone idle husband can take up residence at the local watering hole.
As this technology makes further inroads, the mother could make arrangements—literally down to the penny—with the local grocery and other stores to ensure weekly deliveries of food, school supplies and whatever else directly to her kids, eliminating the chance of the husband going rogue.
