⭕️🤴The Story of the Collapse of the United Kingdom of Israel from the year 931 BCE🤴⭕️

❗️🇮🇱 PART 1 🇮🇱 ❗️

God pronounced a judgment against King Solomon
Due to his disobedience, it was a punishment that impacted Solomon's kingdom after his death.

### Context:
King Solomon, the son of David, started his reign with great wisdom, wealth, and favor from God.
He built the First Temple in Jerusalem's on the Temple Mount
and governed Israel during a time of peace and prosperity.

However, later in his life, Solomon disobeyed God's commandments, particularly regarding his marriages to foreign women and the idolatry they brought into Israel.

### Reason for Judgment:
In *1 Kings 11*, it is written that Solomon had many foreign wives (around 700 wives and 300 concubines) who led him to worship other gods, such as Ashtoreth and Molech.

This was in direct violation of God’s law, which forbade the Israelites from marrying foreigners who might turn their hearts toward other deities (Deuteronomy 7:3-4)

"His wives turned his heart after other gods, and his heart was not wholly true to the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father" (1 Kings 11:4).

### God's Judgment:
As a result of Solomon’s idolatry, God declared that the kingdom would be taken away from Solomon's dynasty, though not entirely or immediately.

In *1 Kings 11:9-13*, God tells Solomon:

1. *Anger of God*: God became angry with Solomon because he had turned away from worshiping only Yahweh, despite all the blessings and the covenant that had been established.

2. *Division of the Kingdom*: God told Solomon that He would tear the kingdom away from him, but not during Solomon’s lifetime because of God's covenant with David.

Instead, the punishment would come after Solomon's death.
The kingdom would be divided, with Solomon’s son Rehoboam ruling only a small portion
(the tribe of **Judah**), while the rest of Israel (Ten tribes) would be given to *Jeroboam*

"Nevertheless, for the sake of David your father, I will not do it during your lifetime. I will tear it out of the hand of your son.
Yet I will not tear the whole kingdom from him, but will give him one tribe for the sake of David my servant and for the sake of Jerusalem, which I have chosen" (**1 Kings 11:12-13**).

*The Consequence:*
This prophecy was fulfilled after Solomon’s death. His son *Rehoboam* became king, but due to his harsh policies, ten of the twelve tribes of Israel rebelled and followed Jeroboam, thus dividing the kingdom into:

- The **Northern Kingdom** (Israel, under Jeroboam).
- The **Southern Kingdom** (Judah, under Rehoboam, Solomon's son).

After King Rehoboam came to power following the death of his father Solomon, several significant events took place that shaped the future of Israel and Judah:
