The Qur’ān copy attributed to caliph hazrat ‘Uthmān in the Mashhad Husayn, Cairo (until 2006) is the only monumental manuscript preserving almost the complete Qur’ānic text. With its 1087 leaves (not all are original), each made of one entire animal’s skin, it weights around 80 kg.
