This is an excellent short video featuring investigative journalist Douglas Valentine who explains the involvement of the CIA in Ukraine and how they have been running Hit Squads against prominent businessmen in an attempt to gain control of Ukraine's natural resources. This video should also explain Putin's remarks about 'zee Nazi's' in Ukraine.

They are Khazars. The video—if you watch it—(12:50 onwards) states that the link with Ashkenazi Jews has been well and truly debunked!
Just because a name has within it the abbreviation 'Nazi' does not necessarily mean that there is some deeper connection.
