The trailer for Amazon’s Lord of the Rings series dropped yesterday. And yes, it looks as terrible as we suspected. People from all over the world have spammed the comments in different languages with this quote:

“Evil cannot create anything new, they can only corrupt and ruin what good forces have invented or made.” — J.R.R. Tolkien

Amazon's "Lord of the Rings"

What is it?

Basically, it is them dragging an enemy banner (Tolkien's work) through the mud as a way to humiliate an opponent (us).

Or, excuse my vulgarity, pissing in the face of a (temporarily) downed opponent.

Petty and malicious beyond belief. I get angry only thinking about it, so I will leave it at that.

I would rather watch porn than to watch this abomination (and you all know my stance on porn). - The Golden One
Perfect summary
The Lord of Rings belongs to Warner Media have they purchased the rights? 🤔
They should rename it „Lord of the Wokes“
As I said before, I don't give two stuffs about Hollywood. Let them suffer and die in agony!

Yes, from the Tolkien Estate. They brought in some Tolkien scholars to fool the family into signing the contract. And they also used Christopher Tolkien a little before he passed away. Evil, just evil. Like Sauron would have behaved (and like he actually did as Annatar).
My brother showed me a video where a guy actually describe why most modern reboots or sequels to older movies or series are so bad. They either change characters into a unrecognisable form that deviates completely from what the original nature of what a character was and replace their original personality in the name of wokeness or they degrade the character of old movie and tv heroes into old bitered and resentful people who needs to he saved by newer, shallowly written characters that too woke for their own good
.
Was it this guy? https://youtu.be/qY-GLeHS0Ik
Yup, wanted to share that exact video just now. It's worth a watch for anyone who hasn't seen it yet

I'm just so sad knowing ahead of time that most white people will watch this crap, gladly, like they watch all the other crap with blacks in it, including porn.

And some people are still clinging to idea that it might be good in the end, its just a couple of photos, its just a trailer, blah blah blah... it won't. It never will with these kind of people and this kind of mindset behind.
It happened to Star Wars with Disney movies, it happened to The Witcher with Netflix adaption, same shit all over again with woke arrogant morons taking beloved franchises and distort them to "bring them to global audience" or "fix them".

this quote is so true and yet it makes me a bit sad that they ruin every good franchise
I have read these books since I was a child (I'm 48 now!!). Must have done it dozens of times and still get something new out of them. I can be critical in parts of I wanted to be - his femail characters lack any depth apart from Galadrial,, and there is some parts which go beyond the normal love for your fellow man (or hobbit) but as a package it's a masterpiece. Deep lore, timeless quest, honour and valour throughout. To take this and 'modernise it' is like taking little woman and saying there aren't enough men in it. Or maybe remaking Jane Eyre as 'John Eyre' with a gay lead. It's just bastardising the original. Make your own lore, story, characters and let them stand on their own merits rather than on the shoulders of giants.
