Illogical. Sunny countries get plenty vitamin D always, abundantly. Northern nations get very little, almost none. Nobody has enough of it here, way less. Yet death rate is 5-10 times less in most northern states thsn places like Italy,Spain,France ,Portugal etc
Look at the details, as the devil is in the details (and many other places).

The people in Nursing Homes is near always inside. Rarely there is Vit.D supplementation and when there is pitiful.
In the modern age people lives and works mainly INSIDE during the day, so they are exposed to a lot less sunlight.
From my knowledge, northern countries have policies of fortifying food with Vit. D and they are not shy of supplementing. In Italy it is not so.
Also, more old people gets, less Vit.D they are able to produce.
And in Italy and the other countries, healthcare is pretty shitty. Many doctors are bounded to the dictate of the government agencies about what and when use drugs.

The supplementation was really not needed until very recently (say a century or two) because men (and women) worked a lot outside their home, under the Sun. This allowed them to build up Vit.D in Summer and store it in fat. During winter they would burn the fat and free Vit.D. And they were much more leaner.
Not today. There is less Vit.D produced, but more fat to capture it. and in winter people rarely lose fat and free the stored Vit.D.

Reality is much more complex than most people realize and accept.

That's true, if you are young and healthy the risk is minimal. Just don't ask what "illness" means in this context. It includes such silly things like high blood preassure and overweight.
My children cannot go back to school even though the Oregonian lists itself only has one person under 20 who died from this, and the poor boy had Leukemia. So

You wrote so many lies and so much bullshit wow. No. Food in northern eurooe doesnt add vitamin D into it,lol. No different than food in italy. I live in nothern Europe, no such shit. And for 2+million years you had no healthcare dude, you also had no cancer until 19th century basically, and even then minimum, and lung cancer basicalky from smoking only and factiry workers with that smoke( issues no longer present when working at factory). Italians are fricken obese whakes, like 3/4 of them, young people too,not just old. So of course such blobs will be ill. Yuck. I've been to Italy , i've seen the people, dude. Nothing has changed health wise in my country, same as a century ago, and we have our national statistics and rates to prove this. In fact we live longer lives and remain active much longer too now. You get lots of sun in italy each say. You get like 4-5 hours of sunlight from dusk to dawn fully here in winter. We work too , and yet we dont take supplements of vitamin D( unless it is some 100yr old kbviously who may need it, then again who cares at that age,i wouldnt if i was 80 even lol)
Onoy complete lard buckets and lazy swines dont exercise regularly to stay fit. My grandparents are all in their 90s now, very fit and healtht, always exercised, still do!!! Your excusesare disgusting, laughable and pathetic!

You just proved my points,as well as the fact you dont know jack shit about northern europe or our food lol. Making up shit as you go along. And fat slobs not working out? Hit the gym, fatasses! Or exercise at home for Fs sake .

There is actually zero risk if you are young and healthy. Those 2 words literally mean the flu does nothing to you.
That's not 100% sure. There is so far no data about long-term effects of Covid-19.
