German state takes 70% of the working man's wages. This is pure slavery. I actually calculated this for my own situation last year and I came up with about the same rate as this example, here.

It’s bad in the UK, tax freedom day there is 30 May, this doesn't include stealth taxes like exaggerated fines for motorists, insurance tax (what a crazy idea) in the US 19 April. In Germany 😮, crazy.
