Good news! Gonzalo Lira is alive.

He was picked up and detained by the Ukrainian SBU on Friday. He recently made his first appearance since then in a short video which you can watch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2yeSOcNlgE

Apparently, Gonzalo’s computer and cell phone were taken from him. He no longer has access to any of his social media accounts. He reiterates on the stream that he can't say anything publicly except that he's physically fine. He is still in Kharkov, and he is not allowed to leave the city.

Glad he is alive. Obviously he is being watched — Hopefully the pressure from everyone concerned about him will continue to help his outcome.
yeah, he is not out of the woods yet. The ordeal is not over but at least it gave us hope

Glad he's okay but he is not safe there. I wonder why his phone and laptop been taken and he's not allowed to talk publicly. If I have to guess things there are not as we're shown on the media here.

I thank you for this information. I really thought he was gone. I hope the fact that his wife is Ukrainian as well as his small children helped him with the authorities. I don't understand why was he saying all those things while in Ukraine. I mean, he should have expected such a response from the Ukrainian authorities, especially in a war zone. That was not smart from his side. I wish him all the best and to be able to take his family back to the U.S.

So the Russian propagandist received the Europe treatment (detention - due process) instead of the Eurasia treatmen (Gulag - put against the wall).

Gonzalo will undouptedly equate the Ukrainian authorities with the Gestapo once his gag order is removed and he is free to leave Ukraine.
