Just imagine if Trump's inauguration 2016 looked like this.

Thats the comical bit in my opinion. But is it the senates fragile vanity or literal defense for percievable threats?
I think a bit of vanity & a lot of cowardice...
"They came into our home, they must witness our supreme power!" once they finished trembling & crying of course, although i never saw a single tear when they send peoples sons, and now daughters, off to fight for their wars...

Well, clearly Biden, who was apparently more popular than Obama, needs 20 to 25 thousands troops to militarily lock down DC to allow this incredibly popular leader, who won by a massive anonymous, unverified, majority, to be inaugurated.... without being loved to death by his followers...
No. He was not more popular. There were way less people alive and living and of voting age in 2008 compared to 2020.many millions less back then. Secondly most voted as a vote against Trump, not "for" Biden. "Anyone but Trump", as most people highly dislike Trump, and many who normally never go voting did so via mail too because they did not have to wait in line and think Trump destroyed economy, mishandled covid pandemic and is divisive. That is why Biden won.

I just saw, apparently all those troops are walking around with weapons without magazines fitted...seems this is just more theatre for the media to salivate over....
Military removed their ammo as Biden team commanded it,for fear of Trump supporting national guard shooting Biden. This was in the news recently. That's why!

Thought they didn’t like WALLS and such. Hmmmm.
No. They dont want walls to keep out innocents who need help. These walls are to protect Biden from radical extremists who may try to do something against soon to be president Biden.

I get the impression those fences and soldiers are there because of something the government will say/do, not for the capitol siege on 1/6.
This has nothing to do with jan 6th. It is to defend Biden's inauguration from any radicals potentially coming in mass on that day.

Trump called in the national guard to D.C. and said it is to ensure Biden gets proper security to become president.

Nobody sends. They willingly go there for money. For decades now after Vietnam it is well known by anyone who isn't braindead and does even a bit of research knows that it is for oil, gas, precious metals, cocaine and central bank and puppet government installation in nations U.S. invaded and occupied. Those going there are mercenaries, there is no draft. So it is their fault, jarheads. Cannon fodder for elites, willingly. Either sociopaths for money or morons who don't know anything about well known facts about this all. Natural selection thus.

They're so rotten, we can all see that war being sold and waged, and them profiting off the back of it, and distracting from their issues at home. What a shambles.
Meh. Blame the morons who volunteer for it each year for 48 years straight now since draft was cancelled. All guns for hire ever since. No pity for invaders and cannon fodder for elites

Err, because it's a free country, and some do actually choose to do that. PTSD as near-standard, but those that can control it are at risk of drowning in clunge - so swings and roundabouts...
