I live in Melbourne and the woman, who had a medical exemption to not wear a mask, admitted to a reporter that she flipped off the cop when he asked her why she wasn't wearing a mask. Why make it hard for yourself?
Because she shouldn't have to give a REASON that's why. Last time I checked Australia was a free country, and an individual has the RIGHT to not wear a mask if they so choose
Indeed. But it seems that most commenters welcome the police state and have have no qualms in a policeman grabbing a young lady by her neck. The barbarism of our time has no precedents.

Oh good grief... he WASN'T choking her (or else she wouldn't been able to say he was), and she was resisting arrest. IF the mask was the issue, and citation and/or arrest for non-mask wearers, was told to the public, she should have just complied and saved the Officer the hassle of having to use his training to make her comply.
