Well it depends. Most of the time people who are provoked into conflict want to be left alone. Once we fight back i doubt anyone could win against the rising righteous anger.
It depends. Many causes are self-defeating; they contain the seeds of their own demise. That being so does not mean that those who do nothing then win.
Yes, and one day, those of us that want to be left alone will rise up and defeat those oppressing us, and our motto will be "Better dead than Red!" We shall prevail!

Sadly, there is much truth in this statement. But for most people there is some kind of Rubicon or red line, that, when crossed, will cause them to rise and fight back.
