Marriage did not exist before christianity,mate. It came about only about 1 thousand years ago. And government only took over and made it official in late 19th century. Marriage back then was the top 1% thing for resource and financial support purposes only. Only 13% of people under age 45 are married as of January 2021, and that % is dropping every single year now! Research. The % of married people over 45 is also falling very quickly each year. We are simply going back to how it was in the 19th century with marriages. Over half the people were single always and less than half were in relationships. Now we will have less than 10% in any type of relationship at all, and over 90 without any relationship( hook-ups for 1 night don't count) .
