large social platform to throw a sign in prompt up in the face of logged out users.
Currently this can still be dismissed, but could signal the start of a move toward eventually walling off content for casual
not-signed-in
users.

Within a year or two.
YouTube for Kids collects no data because of COPPA so they would still have a site where login is not required and could use age appropriation as the reason to put standard YouTube behind a login.
