To me it feels like we lost it. Instead of focusing on the real issues, real problems, we get lost in these meaningless pseudo-issues that makes Dr Martin Luther King Jr. cry in his coffin. Beyond that, language is part of the history, the culture and heritage of those who grew up with it. Language is not bad or good. It's how and with which intentions we use it that can turn it such.
We should all be worried when people start policing language. Really disappointing to see Torvalds approve this. We live in scary times where basic human rights like speech are being violated.

Sorry but I disagree. Firstly, technology is not inherently bad...at least not Linux and annexed. Secondly, to me it looks more like wasting our energy and focus. Lastly, we are not "disconnecting" anythung because there was no connection whatsoever in the first place.
