I'm a longtime Tommy supporter who has fought the trolls and even wrote an article about them for one of my TR.News pieces. To my astonishment I've just been blocked on his Telegram chat! The moderation had told me to stop discussing a subject, and I noticed they also told two others who were arguing about something else to leave and do it in private. I even got a private message saying "what is your problem?"
When I said on the chat this authoritarian style moderation is not what we expect there, I am told to stop sowing discord. Next thing I saw THIS CHAT IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE TO YOU.
This is the last thing Tommy's people need to be doing when he's going through hard times as it will alienate longtime fans like myself. The Guardian is where I am used to censorship for complaining about moderation, not Tommy's site. By all means get rid of trolls, but don't forget free speech.
