I’m very happy about this. As a politician, Hofer has no vision, no charisma and no spine. I don’t mean to sound mean, but honestly, he was useless when it came to standing up to the left.

Hofer is useless and a big part of the problem. He'd kowtow to basically any leftist as long as they don't label him a far-right figure. Such a behavior just undermines the potential of a strong FPÖ. Nobody needs another centrist party like the ÖVP. Why would anyone vote for that if they already have the ÖVP to begin with?

Exactly. If he cares so much about what the left thinks about him, he should just make things easier for everybody and go join the left.
