Most of society cannot or will not think outside of their comfort zone...and they get fiercely defensive even if you try to reason with logic...so you have to just be as courteous as possible, short and to the point. I simply appealed to him by asking for an open mind and let him decide for himself. That's the only way to get through to people in fear. Extend a helping hand.
