For Adobe and Autodesk software many Linux users and institutions would like to have version of them that works on Linux. That helps the migration into more stable, secure system and less Microsoft dependent IT infrastructure
I am not running away from the crappy programs, buggy and insecure software only to later adopt their crappy code in programs like MS-Office or #Skype. There is better, more secure and cheaper #OSS (Open Source Software) around !!
The utmost hell for anyone used to free or even just open software is when you MUST use proprietary garbage so I hope people who have the power to steer the GNU/Linux community won't buy those things and/or services forcing them upon us poor peon devs
They would have to do their own market research. Bet they would not get to know if they would not even ask - their users, who would like to rather work on LINUX instead!
